Standard protection Lorica Armour Vests are certified to UK PSDB Handgun Level HGIA and to UK PSDB Stab Resistance Level KR1. Higher protection Lorica Armour Vests are certified to UK PSDB Handgun/Carbine Level HG2 and to UK PSDB Stab Resistance Level KR2. The above PSDB Standards are roughly equivalent to USA NIJ Handgun Level II and Handgun/Carbine Level IIIA. There is no such thing as a ‘bullet proof’ or ‘stab proof’ vest in the meaning of providing absolute protection from all and every ballistic and stab attack. Some types of attack can penetrate all body armour. The wearing of body armour of any kind does not guarantee protection from serious or fatal injury in an attack. |
